For a child recovering from cancer, returning to school after treatment is one of the integral steps to re-establishing normalcy. Yet, this can be a daunting experience. To address this, CCF’s Schooling Programme offers a suite of services such as Place for Academic Learning and Support (PALS) and education awards scheme to support the child’s smooth transition back to school and beyond if student requires further assistance after returning to school.

Children and Youths Support Service

Caseworkers conduct school visits, classroom talks and engage the school authorities to support the child’s unique needs before their return to school. They also work directly with the child to address any anxiety or issues that they may face after returning to school.

Place for Academic Learning and Support (PALS)

PALS caters to students of different academic levels, from Nursery 1 to Secondary 5. The centre provides an infection-controlled environment, a holistic curriculum and personalised academic coaching to prepare the children for their eventual return to school. In 2019, PALS also started offering support to students with special needs in the primary level.

CCF Education Awards

The CCF Education Awards seek to offer assistance and recognition for the academic performance of beneficiaries who have undergone cancer treatment and have returned to school.
