Play Services

Play is a language in which children learn and communicate through. To help children with cancer cope with the stresses of the diagnosis and find personal mastery, CCF offers Play services which uses play as a primary tool of intervention. Play services are also extended to siblings of children with cancer, forming a seamless family-centric delivery.

In the hospitals, CCF offers Child Life Services (CLS) help the child make sense of the stressful experiences, develop effective coping strategies to manage these difficulties. CCF’s Hospital Play Services also helps to promote a sense of normalcy for the children amidst their treatments.

In the Community, CCF offers Individual Therapeutic Play sessions, Play-based Therapeutic Groupwork, and Therapeutic Mass Programmes and Activities to help children with cancer and their siblings master the cognitive, emotional, physical and social developmental milestones, and respond more constructively to the experiences associated with the cancer diagnosis.
