On 10 December 2016, SingHealth HQ staff
volunteered and spent their valuable Saturday
morning with the kids from the Children’s Cancer

to be part of an enjoyable and meaningful event
where the children enjoyed themselves.
Wewould like to thankCCFstaffJoanneandLynn for

Décor Your OwnRoom JollyVoila
This is the second timeVoilaDesignhad volunteeredwithCCF.
The activity, themed “DECOR YOUR OWN ROOM-JOLLY
VOILA”, was held close to the holiday season on 20December
2016, at Fidget Grandstand. We prepared cardboard and art
material to let the kids unleash their creativity and create their
own dream room. As it was close to the Christmas season,
every childwas given a goodie bag by the volunteers.
We had a great time with the kids and was very happy to see
some familiar faces from the year before. We look forward to
meeting the kids again. Thank you!

BalloonSculptingatCCF@KKH
Wehad thehonor hereat CCF@KKHof havingballoonist
Lily, to come run an event with us. I personally have
never seen a balloonist so talented and chirpy all at the
same time. Not tomention, we had a great event turn out
and all our children and their caregivers too had a really
enjoyable time. Lily was lovely, as she was very patient
with the children and ensured that they received the
balloon sculptures that they had requested for. Everyone,
was really impressed at how fast Lilywas at sculpting the
master pieces that looked so real to the actual thing. This
was definitely an event well-loved by all especially our
childrenandweareall looking forward tohavingher back.

We conducted a Gingerbread man baking session with
the children, in celebration of Christmas 2016. Before we
beganbaking, wehada short storytelling sessionabout the
Gingerbreadman.Next,weshowed them, stepbystep,how
tomake the batter for the gingerbread cookie. The children
raised their hands eagerly as they wanted a chance to
participate in themaking of thegingerbread cookie dough.
Thereafter, the kids sat around the tables to roll the dough
and then used the cookie cutter to cut the dough into little
pieces of gingerbread man and Christmas tree before
sending the cookies into the oven for baking. Once the
cookieswere out of the oven, the children enthusiastically
decorated themwith vibrant red and green colours before
putting them into nicely-wrapped gift bags.
