On 26 November 2016, 20 CCF beneficiaries and their
families came together to celebrate the milestone of their
End of Treatment journey at the CCF Community Office.
They were warmly greeted by CCF survivors Caleb and
Yi Jun, whowere theemcees for theday. The theme for the
celebration partywas “Dancing in theRain”.
The event commenced with an icebreaker where families
participated in a round of Bingo, and pieced together a
“weather” jigsaw puzzle. Each family also worked together
to paint their family umbrella, that reflected the strengths
and qualities that enabled them to go through their cancer
journey. It was heart-warming to see the family members
reflecting and sharing their experiences and showing
appreciation to one another.
The highlight of every End of Treatment Party was the
TrophyPresentation ceremony. The trophieswere presented
to every CCF beneficiary by their caregivers to celebrate
the end of treatment. It was a touching sight to witness
caregivers commending their child for their bravery and
perseverance as they too emerged stronger from the
journey.
The party endedwith a buffet lunch for all beneficiaries and
their families. Every family left with smiles on their faces.
CCF would like to thank the beneficiaries, caregivers and
volunteers formaking thisEndof Treatment Party a success!
