Sticking with our mission of ‘offering a unique cycling
experience by providing the best brands, services and
communities to its customers’, Treknology Bikes have
successfully launched a one of its kind premium showroom
at CuscadenRoad, Singapore.
During this event, Treknology presented its personalised
suite of services for the High Performance Cyclists. The
facilities included Project One Lounge, Trek Precision Fit
Studio, CycleOps TrainingCentre, full service TechCentre
for bike assembly and servicing. Treknology also unveiled
their latest 2017 Trek bicycle line-up. The event was
attended by about 200 people from the cycling fraternity,
customers, bicycle enthusiasts, representatives from
bicycle companies andmembers of themedia.
In conjunction with the event, Treknology Bikes also held
a Charity Auction of a 2017 Trek Madone 9.2 bicycle.
The successful bidder, Mr Soh Song Jin, made an offer
of $6,800 and 100% of the proceeds was donated to the
Children’sCancer Foundation inaidof childrenwith cancer
and their families.

Teeoff for anoble cause!
GELPA, an associationmade up of the field forces of Great Eastern Life, decided to celebrate
Great Eastern Life’s 108thBirthday in ameaningful way.
With support from kind sponsors and numerous efforts including fundraising through donation
cards by the field forces, GELPAmanaged to raise $68,888 for CCF. CCF has always been
GELPA’s choice of CharityOrganisationwhen it comes to contributing back to society.
Among GELPA’s fundraising efforts was a Charity Golf Tournament which saw 108 Golfers
teeingoff simultaneously at 1.08pm tomark theanniversary celebrations. Theevent endedwith
a dinner at Keppel Club. The Organizing Committee wished to thank all who had participated
and contributed in oneway or another inmaking the event a success.

CCF was the charity of choice for participating celebrities
SheilaSim, FionaXie, Yvonne Lim, Zhang ZhenHuan and
Zoe Tay. Their portraits raised a combined sum of $9,450
for CCF.

ourselves. This time, apassionate teamhas come together
to give back to society. I am grateful to our generous
patrons for their generous contributions. Wewouldn’t have
celebrated our birthday any other way,” says styleXstyle

“This year, THOME is proud to organise the ‘Cycle for
a Cause’ and the ‘Charity Bowl 2016’ to raise the much
needed funds for theChildren’sCancer Foundation.
On19August,weheld thecharityevent ‘Cycle foraCause’
whereThomepledged$100 toCCF for every participating
staff at the event. The cycling route spanned 17km from
Changi Beach toEastCoastPark.Wewereglad tohavean
exceptionally high level of support and interest amongst
the staff. In fact, we exceeded the maximum number of
participants by the first week of registration! The event
managed to raise a total of $6,000 for CCF.
Besides this, inconjunctionwithChildren’sDaycelebrations,
Thome also invited 14 CCF beneficiaries to our Charity
Bowl event on 7October at KallangBowl.
In order to rally everyone to score as many points as
possible,Thomepledged$1 toCCF foreverypoint scored.
The games concluded with a total cumulative score of
16,840 points! Together with personal donations from the
employees, a total of S$19,000was raised from thisevent.
Awardswerepresented to theTop3Teamswith thehighest
scores, the Top Male and Top Female Bowlers, as well as
the TopMale and Top Female Junior Bowlers to recognise
both team and individual efforts. We also presented each
junior bowler with a specially packed Children’s Day gift
that was prepared by the organizing committee.
Both the children and our employees had a jovial time that
evening!
Through these few initiatives, we are happy to raise a total
of $25,000 in support of CCF.”
Earlier inOctober, fashionwebzine styleXstyle.com kicked
off its fourth anniversary celebrations with an eye-opening
exhibition of 30 celebrity portraits at Scotts Square.
Aptly titled Eternity in a Moment, the photographic
showcase was produced by two icons in the Singapore
fashion photography scene: lensman Mark Law and
fashion director JeremyTan. The objectivewas to do good
as all portraits were auctioned off on styleXstyle.com’s
online store from 6 to 30 October with proceeds going
towards charity.
