2017 marks a major milestone for Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) as we
celebrate 25 years of journeyingwith childrenwith cancer and their families.
First established in 1992 as WALK (Working in Aid of Leukaemic Kids), the
organisationwas later renamedasChildren’sCancer Foundation in1996 toprovide
support for all childhood cancer patients. Since the adoption of an integrated
Hospital-Community-Home service model in 2008, more and more targeted and
specialised therapeutic programmes have been rolled out to cater to the needs of
our beneficiaries.
Even as we stride ahead, our beneficiaries will remain at the heart of what we
do and this founding principle will continue to shape the nature of our work and
services. The aim is to achieve the best outcome and quality of life for our children
and their families.

Anniversary Theme andLogo
The 25
th
Anniversary logo comprises three human figures representing the CCF
beneficiaries, partners and the community, held and knitted together by the CCF
flower - tulip. Tulips are among the first flowers to blossom after a long winter. As
a herald of spring and given its association with new life and growth, the tulip is a
symbol of resilience and hope for our young patients in their battle against cancer.
In linewith the 25
th
Anniversary theme “Together we are stronger”, the logo depicts
the concerted efforts in supporting children with cancer and providing them with
opportunities to grow in strength and realise their potential. Unity is strength and
together we are stronger in helping the childrenwin their battle against cancer.
