Hair for Hope is the only head-shaving event inSingapore
thatserves to raise fundsandchildhoodcancerawareness.
Every shaven head represents an understanding by
an individual of the ordeals that a child with cancer is
subjected to.
Held on 25 and 26 July 2015 at VivoCity, the main event
saw
3,051
like-minded individualscoming forward toshow
childrenwithcancer that it isOK tobebald.Minister,Prime
Minister’sOffice, SecondMinister for theEnvironment and
Water Resources andSecondMinister for ForeignAffairs,
Ms Grace Fu, graced the event as the Guest-of-Honour
and did the ceremonial shave for ten-year-old childhood
cancer survivor, Ken Foong Kai Jun. Besides the main
event, Hair for Hope also saw the highest number of
satellite events where
3,139
individuals had their heads
shaved at corporate offices, schools and grassroots
organisations between May and July 2015.
