Throughout themonth of June, TheDreamswork Project helped
CCF to raise awareness and funds through various initiatives in
hopesofbettering the livesofchildrenwithcancerand their families.
Besides enlisting the help of hundreds of student volunteers to
be part of our street sales, we also collaborated with various
established retailers such as Maki-San and The Little Flower
Hut to sell exclusively designed merchandise to raise funds.
In order to raise awareness of childhood cancer in Singapore,
we took to social media by launching several social media
campaigns and putting up informative posters at prominent
locations aroundSingapore.
We were also greatly encouraged by the support from various
schools, shopping centres, and public libraries which adopted
our ‘Jar ofHearts’ initiativewherebymembersof thepublicwere
invited to fold paper hearts with words of encouragement to
CCF beneficiaries. We concluded our project with a fundraising
concert called ‘Wabi-Sabi’ on 12August 2016. ‘Wabi-Sabi’ is a
Japaneseworld view centred on acceptance of transience and
imperfection. The event was graced by Paralympian cancer
survivor, Dr William Tan, who shared on how he overcame
adversity to an audience of more than 200.
All of us at TheDreamswork Project sincerely believes that our

Youth for Causes
Citi-YMCAYouth for Causes (YFC) is a community initiative that aims to empower youths aged 15 to 25 to work closely with
non-profit organisations and organise events to champion a social cause. Students get to be masters of their entrepreneurial
projects, learn beyond the classrooms and be developed into socially responsible community leaders.
This year, CCF welcomed two teams from Dunman High School and Raffles Girls’ School who became ambassadors for the
Foundationandhelped raise funds for childrenwith cancer and their families.Onbehalf of our beneficiaries, wewould like to thank
the teams for their hardwork, dedication and support in raising awareness of childhood cancer!

Crimson is a deep, rich shade of red which represents our
sincerity and passion to serve the community and the drive
to do the best we can to help children with cancer and their
families. For thepast fewmonthsandwith thehelpof numerous
volunteers, we managed to design notebooks and drawstring
bags using spray paint and sold them at school and on the
streets between 17May and 31August 2016!
It has been a meaningful and enriching journey planning the
project and executing it. We had a lot of fun interacting with
members of thepublic for our street sales, selling thenotebooks
and bags and sharing with them about the childhood cancer
cause.Wesincerelyhope that the funds raisedwill goa longway
to benefit the beneficiaries at CCF and encourage like-minded
peers to reachout to these childrenandbe their beaconof light.
