”Superheroes” was the theme for this year’s Sibling’s Day,
which had 20 siblings embarking on a superhero adventure
at Bricks 4Kidz on18November 2017.
CCF Very Important Brothers and Sisters (VIBS)
Programme dedicates this special day to the siblings to
acknowledge their strengths in coping with the challenges
resulting from their brother’sor sister’s cancer. It alsoaims to
build relationships and support within the sibling community.
At Bricks 4 Kidz, the siblings were tasked to take down a
team of super villains whowere causing harm to theworld.
To do that, the siblings in the superhero teams first had to
build their team identity and weapons in order to defeat
their nemesis.
With diligence and creativity, the siblings created and built
their team mosaic, 3D figurines and team catapults as
weapons. Decked in superhero masks, the battle between
superheroes and super villains commenced with a relay of
Batmobile car racing to shooting down the nemesiswith the
catapults. After shooting down the villains, the siblingswere
rewardedwithgoodiebags and prizes fromBricks 4Kidz.
With a great sense of unity and synergy forged, the siblings
returned to CCF Community Office in Novena for a time of
sharing, where they affirmed one another of the strengths
they each had and that they are not alone in their journey
– even in the face of difficulties. The day ended on a high
note with awards and applause for the strength shown by
the siblings.
CCF would like to thank and show our appreciation to
Bricks 4 Kidz for their collaboration with CCF and for their
time to give our sibling beneficiaries an empowering
experienceas superheroes.
