Endof Treatment Party
On 29 April 2017, 21 CCF beneficiaries and their families
came together to celebrate the milestone of their End
of Treatment journey at The Red Box, Youth Corps
Singapore’scommonspace for commongood locatedalong
Somerset Road.
They were warmly greeted by CCF survivor, Gloria Leong,
the emcee for the day. The theme for the celebration party
was “Dancing in the Rain”. A photo booth with props was
set up, where beneficiaries and their families could take
funphotos.
The families participated in a round of icebreaker
“ScavengerHunt!”.After the icebreaker, each familyworked
together to paint their family umbrella, which incorporated
all the strengths and qualities that helped them go through
the cancer journey. It washeart-warming to seeeach family
member playing their part, reflecting and sharing their
experiences, as well as appreciating one another. It was
then followedby a teabreak.
The highlight of every End of Treatment Party was
the Trophy Presentation ceremony. The trophies were
presented to every CCF beneficiary by their caregivers to
celebrate the end of treatment milestone. It was touching
to hear caregivers commend their child for their bravery
and perseverance in overcoming the challenges during
the treatment.
The beneficiaries and their families left with big smiles on
their facesat theendof theparty, togetherwith their goodie
bags andbeautifully decoratedumbrellas in tow.

and volunteers for making this End of Treatment Party
a success!
